Biographical Info

Daniel I. Neveloff, Esq., founder of The Neveloff Law Firm, PC and trial counsel to Derek Smith Law Group, brings nearly 30 years of litigation and negotiation experience to his work as a mediator. Recognized for his ability to handle high-stakes, emotionally charged matters with skill and fairness, Daniel has devoted his career to helping individuals navigate some of life’s most difficult conflicts.

Daniel’s practice spans a wide range of employment, civil rights, and personal injury matters. He has extensive experience in cases involving discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, rape and sexual abuse, and claims of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious, age, and disability discrimination. He also has represented clients in complex accident and personal injury matters, including motor vehicle and construction accidents, premises liability, wrongful death claims, medical malpractice, and cases of police excessive force and wrongful arrest. His breadth of experience gives him a unique ability to understand the risks, challenges, and opportunities for resolution across a variety of disputes.

Daniel’s work has been reported in the New York Daily NewsNew York PostNew York Law Journal, WPIX, and WCBS News. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers as being in the top 5% of attorneys in New York and has served as a judge for Yale University’s prestigious mock trial competition. A graduate of Brooklyn Law School, Daniel is admitted to practice in New York State and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and has argued cases before the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court.

A native New Yorker, Daniel relates easily to the city’s diverse communities and to jurors alike. His extensive world travels—from hiking to Machu Picchu and camping in the Sahara Desert, to paragliding over Rio de Janeiro and hot air ballooning in Turkey—reflect his curiosity and respect for different cultures. He brings that same openness and empathy into the mediation process, where building trust and fostering dialogue are essential. An avid guitarist, Daniel has also performed with Rockin’ 1000, “the biggest rock band on earth,” in stadiums across Europe.
